i'm taking a break from my game project to work on my next album due to major burnout and boredom from the game project and i need to spice up what i'm working on atm to keep the brain being creative.


so, "Halidom Eidola" was started, as a way to spark some new creativity and to avoid burnout from the game project for a bit. after which i'll be back on that pipe line once burnout is gone.

i'm going back to some of my older experimental roots for this project avoiding any sort of cinematic elements and focusing more on sound design, cuz i find cinematic music super boring atm and too easy to make. plus i'm a sound designer at heart and thats what i strive to create so that's what i putting all my card into for this project.

i plan to be a LOT more ornate and meticulous with this project unlike my last album with MUCH more sound design than anything i've made before.

(Also by experimental roots i mean stuff like "Call of the Void", stuff from Synthetic and Organic Mass, etc. just with a newer outlook and perspective and a more refined knowledge on the craft)


i won't be posting many previews of the project publicly (apart from the abridged version of the tracks in the album) as to avoid spoilers, and too not get myself too stressed on the project. but you can already hear some small snippets posted on the abridged versions of "The Author" and "Malayo" from the album, just keep in mind they have been slightly altered and extended to meet the vision of the album.

(but also do note the abridged songs will be privated once the album is completed and will be replaced with the completed versions not long after completion of the whole project)

and one final note of the album, there won't be a single song under 10 minutes due to the narrative vision i have for the project, which isn't based off any pre-existing narrative like in Lone Ronin but is instead something completely original.

alright so i won't be very active for a good long whole in the future since i'm going full time into the development of my game project 'Moribund', a project i've been working on and off on since late 2023 and have now finally jumped the gun to work on it as my main project.

i'll still upload and work on little side projects but they won't be very frequent and aren't my main priority.


i'm creating the game in Unreal Engine 4 due to it having better quality of life features and costing less storage on final compilement than UE5. and i will also be doing all the soundtrack, sound design, asset modeling, animation, artwork, etc for the game solo cuz hiring people is expensive.

if you're curious as to what the game is about or just what type of game it'll be, it'll be a semi-nonlinear storybased survival psychological horror game based in the early 2000s around the south sandwich islands and subsequential the south sandwich trench on a remote research base on land and then a multiplatform above water base for research on the trench.


i'll be posting progress updates on places like my ig and youtube (since those are the only social media's i use) as well as uploading some tracks from the soundtrack as well as scrapped tracks here early if i'm super proud of them so yall can take a gander and my thought process (just they won't be allowed for Geometry Dash API since i don't want them on the server.

but currently atm i'm still in the process of creating the assets for the game (models, game textures, GUI's, animations, etc) as well as creating a stable version of UE4 for the most efficient use for the project without bloatware or inefficient tools.
